Hi there medicine makers! Let’s manifest your Healing Kitchen together in one of my hands-on herbalism medicine making intensives. Just bring yourself, your apron and your curiosity. The herbs and the ingredients are waiting for you. These intensives are fully practical and you’ll learn from an experienced naturopath and educator, how to harness the power and life force in plants to make medicines that heal. I’ve taught herbal medicine manufacture for a decade, and written courses for various colleges. I’ll be welcoming you into this world of medicine making with all the knowledge and clever tips you need to start making your own extracts with confidence and ease. And did I mention this is a great way to create gifts for family and friends?
In this in person workshop, held in the Avalon, Northern Beaches area, I’m going to guide you through the practicalities and processes involved in a variety of holistic herbal preparations, sharing with you the knowledge I’ve accumulated from teaching herbal manufacture for many years now as well as my own herbal medicine making.
What you need to bring:
- 3 or so flowers for the altar
- Mortar and Pestle (if you have one, otherwise I have spares)
- Apron
These are provided:
- Recipes Booklet with space for note making
- All raw materials + containers
- Ceremonial latte at lunch (please bring your own food)
- Beginners Materia Medica eBook (emailed after the workshop)
How the intensives work
Arrive by 10am. We have 5 hours to prepare medicines. After a brief introduction, you’ll get started with your first preparation with my guidance at each step. All the materials are provided from your bottles, jars through to herbs and other ingredients. We’ll enjoy a ceremonial latte in the middle, infused with all of our love and prayers, plant ritual style. If you love touching, smelling and making things with plants, this is for YOU. And, you take home everything you make. Woohoo!

These intensives are suitable for all levels of experience and knowledge in herbal medicine, and for those with some prior training its a fantastic opportunity to pick my brains. Whatever your situation is you can call me anytime to see if these intensives would be suitable for you.
When should I book? Now! Spaces are limited and numbers need to be confirmed before the workshop can run. It will be held in the Avalon area of the Northern Beaches of Sydney, minutes from beautiful beaches and surrounded by nature.
